Question from a course attendee: I am finding it very difficult to take in the info from this course and apply it in my life. It is almost as though one of my egos takes over and sabotages my efforts; it’s like some kind of block. As soon as I start reading the lessons I feel restless, irritable, frustrated, and even panicky. I also experience headaches and aches in my body (neck, back, etc.). Have you come across this before or has/does anyone else felt/feel like this? Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts. It’s very difficult to take in the course information with all this going on.

Belsebuub’s answer: I have come across it before; there are egos that don’t want you to do the work. They are not specific to this self-knowledge study though, and can arise in many situations for different people. One example is a student who feels like this when studying at university.

It is the same solution for these as other egos—observe them and eliminate them when you have the technique to do so—however in this case, you need to go against the sensations too and do things even though those egos make you feel as though you don’t want to.

If you persist with this, they will eventually start to recede and diminish.
